Welcome to Boise Portrait Studio. You may have heard of us when we were Darren & Kate Photography. We enjoyed years of photographing families and high school seniors in and around the Boise area but then things changed...

We had a baby and Kate landed an incredible job for an incredible company which didn't give her much time for photography. While I worked at the studio running Headshot Boise, I had the idea of moving Darren & Kate Photography to a full service studio and offer timeless and classic studio portraits.

After awhile of explaining why there wasn't a "Kate" in the studio, we changed the name to Boise Portrait Studio. So here we (and you) are.

Like many of us in the valley, the parks & foothills were our favorite places for family photos, but as the valley has grown, the number of places for family photos has dwindled. Even the fan favorite, Kathryn Albertsons Park, has designated areas where photographers are allowed to take family photos & the Boise foothills have signs directing photographers to stay on the trails.
